THE NEWS

26th August, I came across a very disturbing news report on a beautiful 26th of August. According to the papers, a lady in her middle 20s was raped for 9 hours by 7 Indonesians. The word that described the status of her private part was "destructive" after the 9 hours of torment. We were discussing about this issue in the office and my senior colleague shared with me his experience when he visited the PUDU Jail.

During his visit, he was shown a video of how rapists are punished. We all know that they will be caned with rotan. We were WRONG! DEAD WRONG! It appears that the tool used for this mindless bastards is actually the TAIL OF A STING RAY. According to his description, its a flexible, more than 1 metre long tail with THORNS.

THE PUNISHMENT

The convict enters the chamber (with arrogance in his face). Then have his arms in the air tied, legs opened wide and body bent, left only with his pathetic bermuda. Then, a guy as big size as an average wrestler will stand somewhere behind the cuffed beast, holding the tail, swinging lightly (without hitting the muthafucka) just like a baseball batter’s warm up, and *ZUUUUUUUUUUP* slashing the torso of that deserving animal with the tail.

The tail, with its natural thorns, will then cling to the bastard’s waist like a belt. Without notice, which is good, the big sized dude will then pull the tail with all its might instantly back.

THE RESULT

The arrogant bastard 100% confirmed fainted. Both the skin and flesh of that low standard criminal will be torn out with pieces of flesh flying out and blood will flow endlessly. *Those who have watched passion of the christ will be able to imagine this*. Paramedics will approach him, slowly, and stop the bleeding. The Malaysian government consists of caring people, he can’t just die like that… right? That wouldn’t be very fair! He just raped a person, thats all.

THEREFORE, he will be meeting the tail of the sting ray every 2 months, depending on the seriousness of his crime. To my colleagues at INFORMATICS, you can refer to our hero, Mr Fadzir about this. PS: He wasn’t the rapist, he was the TOURIST!

Lose, BUT do not lose THE lesson

Sunday, August 21st, 2005

My dear friends. I may have little experience in working, but I gain more everyday. Last week I learnt that ONE cannot be KIND in work, a little too late to notice this lesson, nonetheless I’m thankful I wasn’t too late. It goes like this…..

As you may have already knew, I work in an office environment handling both retail and corporate sales. I may feel rather lucky because the enquiry calls all goes through my work station first before transfering to another side. I’ve got a colleague who keep complaining how boring she gets and how unfair the situation is. There are some little truth in what she says, because she do get lesser enquiries in comparison to those working at the frontline.

Juggling around, I’ve decided to give her one of my valuble database, the ERL of KLIA. It was an enquiry I’ve received that has certain interest in the training programme that we offer. It was a huge business and potentially a long-term profit. The factor that ignites my decision was "If we are to work together as a TEAM effectively & efficiently, we should take care of ourselves"

1 fine day, a very senior colleague of mine who is extremely well respected gave me some wisdom and explained to me thoroughly why was my sympathetic decision was ALL WRONG and NONE CORRECT. Due to professional ethics, there is no way I can actually acquire that lead back from her. I was even taught to get something back in return for providing my lead to her. In our corporate culture, when one give a lead to the other and when the business deal turns out to be successful, the profit sharing is commonly 50% to one and 50% to the other.

I then proposed to her this profit sharing scheme and then she said NO. RIGHT BACK AT MY FACE. I felt stupid. I felt really stupid for EVEN trying to play fair and take care of my teammates. It was a fall to the bottomless pit of dissapointment. My good intention eventually backfired and hit me hard.

I learnt my lesson. A fool, I will be no more….. No longer I will be naive and carry my sympathetic heart to work. One can never be kind at work. When an issue involves MONEY, never be kind. Else, you’ll be eaten alive, despite the race, despite the gender. Money doesn’t recognise faces.

I got this news letter from The Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Birthday on 26th, offday on 27th. If I don’t hang out on these 2 days, this means the love letter from U.K has done it again…..

Hot country with cool people?

Monday, August 15th, 2005

The answer is Malaysia. Malaysians are damn cool, they don’t give a f*ck and can’t be bothered. On my way back from work in the KTM today. I saw something very "sadden-ing"…..

"Everybody who wants the haze to end say Heeeey!!!!!" (Kuala Lumpur SHOUTS Heeeey!!!!!)

"Everybody want the haze to blow back to Sumatra say Hooooo!!!!!" (Klang SCREAMS Hooooo!!!!!)

"Everybody wants curfew due to haze say Heyho!!!!!" (Segambut and Kepong residence YELLS HEYHO!!!!!)

As anticipated, the weather condition in the Klang valley has recovered after a week of hazardous air. The route that I take passes the Segambut station and then to the Kepong station. As I passed by, I witnessed SEVERAL open burnings already. I went "Whart Dar Fark!!" in my mind. Are these people not giving up their hopes for curfews?? I find this quite "sadden-ing"

It came

Friday, August 12th, 2005

It came, after 4 long years, we finally met. I was very delighted. Good thing that we still keep in touch even though I wasn’t sure will there be a time in life that we can actually see each other face to face. We had dinner in some errmm….. Hong Kong dishes concept kind of restaurant. Nope, not Kim Gary or Wong Kok. Its just some small-time corner shop. Food was good and price is ok. I recommend it. Its located in ermm somewhere in Jalan genting Klang. Ok, enough of free advertising for that small-time shop.

We chatted, expressed our dissapointment in our previous experience and so on. Being the Kelvin Thong Kok Thye I’m, I never fail to find any opportunity to tease. Hope it wasn’t offending. I look forward to our second meeting.

Its Saturday, what else? Blogging day for me! I was late for work today. Supposed to work for the 11.a.m. - 3.p.m. shift today. Before I leave my house, my stomach got so uncomfortable I can drop on the floor. Arrived at 11:30a.m. and gastric strikes. Have to take my lunch, and therefore started work at 12p.m. The problem with my health has cost me much problem and money when I was working with OSIM for the previous years. My previous employer understood my health condition but the administration department didn’t. It even cost me a SHOW CAUSE letter. When I was explaining to the administrator, she felt so bad to actually issue me a warning letter, but I really have a record for arriving late. She even apologised for issue-ing me the warning letter. Then again, its the past. Anyone out there who knows how to fine tune their stomach so that it won’t be so sensitive anymore? Please leave some comments.

The beginning is the end is the beginning

Gone will be the days where you view KT’s blog just to find it inaccessible! Following the guidelines from a dear friend of mine, KayTee’s blog is back online! I’ve saved up so many ideas to blog I actually have forgotten parts of them. So….. it sucks but I can’t actually write down anything at the moment. However, interesting articles in the future is a promise.

When love and hate collides

Monday, August 1st, 2005

I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together again and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. What is broken is broken — and I’d rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as I lived. The fact is, you don’t die from a broken heart………. you only wish you did. Perhaps then, it was better never to have met you in my dream than to wake and reach for hands that are not there. I still admit that I have not much of an experience in this issue, but trying to forget someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never knew. Good night all…..

Come August

Monday, August 1st, 2005

Almost 10:30pm now. August didn’t greet me too bad after all. On my way to work, I actually can turn my body inside the KTM, not as crowded as usual. Our company has welcomed a new colleague to the family (Welcome Lina!). I closed another deal, a small deal. But still a deal. I met an old friend in the train on my way back. When I reached home, dinner was fabulous. Thx mom dearest! Of all the soothing things that happened on the 1st of August, I end up thinking about "it" in the evening. I feel like drowning myself.
